Padded Shipping Envelopes are 100% recyclable, made from at least 60% reclaimed paper and plastic. These envelopes made in this way can be disposed of with PAP22 paper if separated from the PE-LD plastic inner part, which in turn can be recycled and reused, otherwise they should be disposed of in the undifferentiated garbage;
To limit the pollution caused by stuffed envelopes, one can try to find a way to reuse them. One can, for example, reuse the envelopes to make other mailings. Simply cover the addresses with labels on which to write new ones. And tape will be sufficient to reseal them properly.
If there is no possibility of reusing the envelopes or, more simply, you prefer to throw them away, you can still try to recycle them properly with a little effort. It will not always be possible to separate the stuffing from the outer envelope, but it is still worth a try. To make the operation easier you can cut the envelope on the long sides. This will result in two separate halves. Helping yourself with your fingers or the tips of scissors, you will have to try to lift the plastic part from the paper part. As you keep pulling, the entire plastic part should come away. At this point it can be sorted along with the plastic waste. The outer wrapper may, on the other hand, be discarded along with the paper waste.
